EAGALA was founded in 1999 as a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization developed to address the need for resources, education and professionalism in the fields of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning.  

EAGALA has over 3,500 members in 40 countries, with regional coordinators helping support members and networking groups in EAGALA Europe/Middle East, EAGALA Africa, EAGALA Latino America, EAGALA Pacific, and EAGALA U.S./Canada.
The Equine Assisted Growth & Learning Association (EAGALA) is dedicated to improving the mental health of individuals, families, and groups around the world by setting the standard of excellence in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning, also known as horse therapy or equine therapy.  The 1st Annual Asia Pacific Conference will take place at Tocal College, Paterson, NSWThe EAGALA Annual Conference is a networking and educational event for professionals who are practicing or just newly interested in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning.
